How many awards are offered?
Every year three Professional Learning Awards are offered at a value of $3000 each. These awards are offered to individuals and may not be split between applicants unless a combined application is received. The panel will not enter into any further dialogue in cases where applications have been unsuccessful.
What the awards are for?
This award is offered to principals for the purposes of undertaking professional learning, requiring them to pay to attend conferences, undertake study/research, or go about other innovative plans in which they are clearly working to become effective leaders of learning.
Who can apply?
These awards are for current full time principals who are paid members of the Nelson Principals’ Association. This award is not open to acting principals or principals in a short term employment capacity. A minimum of one award per year is offered to principals of U1-3 schools, but more can be awarded.
